Everyone loves french fries! They are a great temptation to anyone trying to lose weight. There is, however, a healthy french fry alternative that you can bake yourself. Start by slicing your potatoes into 1/2 inch long fries. Then, place them in a bowl with a tablespoon of oil and lightly dust them with salt, pepper, and rosemary to taste. Bake a single layer of the fries for 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Use a spatula to loosen any caked-on fries, turn them over, then bake them for another half hour. Keep track of your calorie consumption as the day wears on for a successful weight loss program. If you eat more calories than which you’re burning, you will have a hard time to lose weight. Eating a lot more calories than what you are burning will keep you from shedding weight. Try to write down all of the calories you are eating if you are trying to lose some girth!

Beginning a cardiovascular regimen is helpful for weight loss. For example, you can boost your heart rate by jogging, cycling or walking every day. Walking can be a great way to lose a few pounds. Walking promotes weight loss in two ways: it burns calories and curbs your appetite by increasing blood flow throughout your body. Depending on the intensity, walking can burn up to 500 calories each hour.

Substitute mustard for mayonnaise. Although mayo is tasty, it’s very high in calories and fat. Make your next sandwich a healthier, lower-calorie one by substituting mustard for mayonnaise. Cut out calories by never eating mayo again.
