Instead of ordering them from your favorite fast food place, bake them yourself at home. Steamed vegetables are higher in nutrients and usually much tastier than vegetables cooked any other way. While you are trying to lose weight, chances are that you will go to a restaurant at some point. Know that portions at restaurants are bigger than what you need. You can request the waiter bring a take-out box and put half of your meal in the box right away. This works out well, though, because now you have lunch for tomorrow.
