Rather than having unhealthy items, keep healthy food choices easily accessible to grab for a quick snack. For example, keep a platter of veggies in the fridge that you can go to when hunger strikes.

One smart idea for weight loss is joining a company like Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig. You can find help and support there, as well as resources like meals you can get at your home. If you are able to do it money wise, it can be a good way to lose some weight.

French Fries

Does anyone not like french fries? Unfortunately, they cause problems for many people who are trying to lose weight. That said, if you absolutely must have french fries, have baked fries instead of those that are fried. After slicing potatoes into 1/2″ strips, place in a bowl along with 1T of canola oil. Sprinkle with pepper, salt and other seasonings of your choice. Arrange the fries on a roaster pan or cookie sheet in just one layer and bake at 400 degrees in your oven for 30 minutes. Turn the fries over with a spatula and continue baking for about 10 minutes.
